To celebrate Matariki in June we hosted “family fish and chip night”.  To prepare for the special occasion, the children brought in a vegetable from home and we made a tasty vegetable soup to serve on our matariki night.
The children also harvested our home-grown herbs, making small bouquets to give to each family on the evening.  Finally they prepared their waiata and poi for a special performance for their whanau.  It was a beautiful night for all, bringing us all closer as a community.
